arrow Value of Consulting Engineering in the Public Sector

In response to the newspaper article in The State newspaper in October and to give members facts on consulting engineers, Joe Jones put together talking points illustrating consulting engineers’ service to the public. These talking points are intended to uplift the profession and not an attempt to counter the article.

If you are in conversations with legislators or others keep these facts in mind.

Consulting engineers are not as well known as they should be by the general public. Your clients know you and the services you provide, but generally speaking consulting engineers are a silent profession. Even your public clients don’t understand you completely as evidenced by the many requests for bids for your work.
