ACEC-SC Awards Two Scholarships

At the Engineering Excellence Awards gala February 21, ACEC-SC announced its two 2008 scholarship winners.

Andrew S. Boddiford, a senior in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University, is an extremely good student and active on campus. He was chosen from six scholarship applicants.

Boddiford attended the Engineering Excellence Award gala and received a BIG $3,500 ACEC check.

Maria Koon is the other ACEC Scholarship recipient. She is also a senior in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University. Unfortunately Koon was out of the state working on a project and could not attend the gala, but she will receive a $3,500 check, too.

ACEC-SC offers students at all the ABET Engineering colleges in the state the opportunity to apply. ACEC-SC has awarded to students from The Citadel and the University of South Carolina win scholarships in the past.

ACEC-SC supports these $3,500 scholarships by its annual ACEC-SC scholarship golf tournament. This year the tournament is April 24 at Crickentree Golf Club in Blythwood, SC
