ACEC-SC Holds Engineering Excellence Award Gala
The nineteenth Engineering Excellence Award gala was held Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Columbia Museum of Art where 15 engineering projects were honored and two ACEC-SC scholarships were announced.
As representatives from South Carolina consulting engineering firms were receiving their Engineering Excellence or Honor awards, emcee, Reggie Hall told the audience about each project. Also, a power point presentation illustrating the project was shown to the audience.
The evening began with a reception where all of the Engineering Excellence story boards were on display. The reception gave ample time for everyone to partake of the excellent food and drink, talk with clients and fellow engineers and review the storyboards.
Winning the top honor – Palmetto Award – was Hussey, Gay, Bell & DeYoung of Mt. Pleasant for its project for the City of Charleston Water System. (See Palmetto Award story)
