ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards Gala

ACEC-SC top projects are given the chance to compete on the national level in Washington, DC, during the ACEC Annual Conference.  This year’s black tie EEA Gala, dubbed the “Academy Awards of Engineering”, will be held Tuesday April 29, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel.

Four of ACEC-SC Engineering Excellence Award winners entered the National Competition and will be representing South Carolina Engineering.  These firms were among the top six projects in South Carolina.  The following Companies and projects entered the National Competition:

• “Lower Dorchester WWTP Expansion” entered by BP Barber
  
  
• “Bridge Management Database & 3D Scanning” entered by Collins Engineers, Inc.
  
  
• “East Cooper Water Supply No.2”, entered by Hussey Gay Bell & DeYoung (ACEC-SC Palmetto Award Winner)
  
  
• “SC 41 over Lynches River and Swamp” entered by The LPA Group Inc.
