State MathCounts Competition Returns to
Clemson University March 1
The State MathCounts competition returns to Clemson University and is sponsored by the College of Engineering and Science again this year.
MathCounts Chair, Marguerite McClam recruited Clemson last year, and the competition was keen and the Mathaletes enjoyed being on the campus. The university had the opportunity to show off its campus to some of the brightest kids with a lot of potential.
The university was kind enough to sponsor the MathCounts state competition again this year. It takes place Saturday, March 1 in Bracket Hall. More than a dozen South Carolina Middle Schools are expected to qualify to participate.
This state competition is always looking for engineers to volunteer to assist with scoring, and other duties. Volunteer to help out. If you haven’t volunteered, come see how fast these kids are in the Count-Down Round. |
