S&ME Names Randy Neuhaus President

Randall (Randy) A. Neuhaus, P.E., has been named president of S&ME, Inc., a 900-employee Southeastern engineering and environmental services company, operating five offices in Georgia.
Neuhaus joined the firm in 1988 to open S&ME’s office in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the two decades since, he has performed and supervised engineering work in a wide range of the firm’s service areas and was given increasing managerial responsibilities, including management of a region comprising several branches.
S&ME’s South Carolina branches are in Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Myrtle Beach and Spartanburg. In the past dozen years, S&ME has won 20 Engineering Excellence Awards from the American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina. Four of these were the top South Carolina award, now called the Palmetto Award.
Neuhaus was named a vice president in 2000 and executive vice president in 2005. The new president has been very active in professional organizations, serving in responsible positions in state and national engineering associations. He earned his degree in civil engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
The firm’s 22 offices are in South and North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Virginia. S&ME is headquartered in Raleigh, NC where it started in 1973.
Neuhaus succeeds John R. Browning, P.E., a 31-year S&ME veteran, who has been president the past seven years. Browning will remain CEO and chairman of S&ME’s Board of Directors until April.
