Hanif Chaudhry, USC attended. Also, Charles Ido, an LLR investigator attended. In all, 31 engineers and surveyors attended this annual dinner.
Various discussions took place during the short reception and during dinner. Council President, Haze Elliott welcomed the group and gave an invocation.
Among the issues discussed were the movement of an agreement between SCSU and USC for SCSU students to become registered by taking certain courses at USC. Details are not finalized, but progress is being made between the two universities.
Board member Mitchell Tibshrany reported the Governor’s staff said appointments for the two expired Registration Board seats were forthcoming in the next two to four weeks. The SC Council of Engineering and Surveying Societies made recommendations to the Governor for these two seats in July, but until now, no appointments were made.
