URS to Employ 400 Nuclear Professionals in Fort Mill, SC

ACEC-SC member firm, URS, has opened the URS Nuclear Center in Fort Mill as the headquarters for the company’s commercial nuclear energy engineering and construction business.

As reported in SCBIZ Daily, the new office complements URD Corp.’s Washington Division’s existing offices focused on the nuclear market in Princeton, NJ and Aiken, SC.   The Fort Mill center will provide a complete range of licensing, design, engineering, procurement and construction services for new nuclear generation facilities as well as for critical stages in the development of nuclear fuel cycle facilities. The Washington Division plans to employ more than 400 nuclear professionals at the center over the next several years.
