ACEC-SC & SCSPE Seminar Series/Winter Meeting is February 27
For the first time ACEC-SC and SCSPE are holding a winter meeting that features two PDH tracks that provide the opportunity for attendees to pick up six PDHs. This meeting is being held a Saluda Shoals Park, River Center, a popular meeting venue.
SCCESS Joint Meeting Set for March 28
SCSPE’s Board of Directors agreed to participate in the SC Council of Engineering and Surveying Societies Joint Meeting this spring at The Citadel.
Engineering Technologists Apply for Professional Registration Under the New Law
A law passed last year allows engineering technology graduates from four-year programs with the required experience successful passage of the Fundamentals and Professional Engineer exams to become registered.

New Engineer Ceremony Held at State House
SCSPE again sponsored its New Engineer Ceremony at the State House, Thursday, Jan. 17. Of the 89 engineers that passed the PE exam in October, twenty engineers and surveyors, their families and their employers came to the ceremony celebrating their professional status.

The Federal Communication Commission auctions off more of the airwaves this month, and when the television goes digital, the competition among mobile carriers is expected to drive down prices and increase services in 2009.
