Lobbyists of member organizations for SCFOR – South Carolina Alliance to Fix Our Roads – made rounds in the Gressette Building, which is the Senate office building, calling on Senators asking them to support some source of more money for roads and bridges.
SC Department of Transportation Secretary Buck Limehouse Addresses Senate Transportation Committee
He said the department has worked to establish a system to prioritize state highway projects, and the DOT Commission has approved the system and the projects.

The nineteenth Engineering Excellence Award gala was held Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Columbia Museum of Art where 15 engineering projects were honored and two ACEC-SC scholarships were announced.

Hussey Gay Bell & DeYoung won ACEC-SC’s highest award, the Palmetto Award, in the Engineering Excellence Award competition and receive the award Feb. 21 at the gala at the Columbia Museum of Art.
Four South Carolina Firms Send Engineering Excellence Entries to ACEC National Competition
BP Barber, Collins Engineers, Inc., Dennis Corporation and Hussey, Gay Bell & DeYoung, Inc., achieved the prestigious National Finalist status in the national Engineering Excellence Award competition by the American Council of Engineering Companies.
